Here are just a few ideas:

 

The Lazy Otter Pub – Standard Adventure Ship with Slide.

This ship is based around a 1.5m platform at the stern of the ship. Access is gained by a rockwall or ladder in the midships. Exit via the heavy duty PE slide. In the bow section bench seating and even a picnic table is ideal for the less intrepid (younger) sailors.Only the stern section requires safer surface. In this case it is Safagrass Matting. Our picture was taken on the day of installation before the grass had a chance to grow through.

 

The Super Ship

The super ship is a step up in size and excitment from the standard Adventure Ship.

Two bridge decks (one with wooden roof and one with a shade sail) with a walkway connector create the ship superstructure.Accessories include ladder, fireman’s pole, cargo net, rockwall and slide at the stern. The foredecks have bench seating and a mast, portholes and anchors complete the look.

 

Here the safer surface is woodchip.

The Lacon Arms, Hemsby  – The Mega Ship

When the Bevan family of Hemsby took over The Lacon Arms in 2009 they knew that to attract the holiday making families of Hemsby and the surrounding area they would need to invest in their outdoor play area. NGF installed a Mega Ship – named because of it’s size – and ability to cater for the large numbers of children of all ages the Bevans were hoping to attract.

 

The Mega Ship comes complete with 2 standard 1.5m high deck sections joined by a walkway. However the extra 2.1m high Poop deck at the stern allows an extra high rockwall and cargo net to be attached as well as an enclosed spiral slide.

 

 

Other accessories include monkey bars, ladders, more nets and rockwalls. A shade sail and flagpole complete the rear section.

 

 

To cater for toddlers the bow section was decked out and a ramp and slide attached to make this the ultimate play item for all ages.

 

 

The Mini Ship

Sheringham Nursery were desparate to have a ship for their playing field. However space was very tight and at first glance it looked like it couldn’t be done. However NGF took their standard Adventure Ship, shrank it a little and came up with this 5mx1.5m ‘Mini Ship’

 

A 1.2m platform with wooden roof made up the stern section of the ship. A rockwall and ladder were ways up and a slide was the exit point. Real portholes, a mast and anchors completed the ship within the space available.
